This blog was first published in 2007. The series of "A Journey Through Life" blog entries are written mostly in English and some in Vietnamese.
Initially, this was conceived as a place where Mei Nguyen was to share her personal news and information with friends and family. But then there was a slight change to what Mei had originally planned. Her goal is to share her own creative writings of thoughts and reflections on life events, activities and hobbies. It is up to anyone’s personal preference to see them as the ups and downs of life. To Mei, they are her appreciations of life itself.
Who is Mei Nguyen?
Mei Nguyen was born Nguyễn Thị Thái Mỹ into a Vietnamese family of Guangdong provincial heritage in Southern Vietnam. Through the grace of God, Mei was baptized, confirmed and received into the Catholic Church on November of 1993. Because she has been living in the States since her early teens, Mei is fluent in both Vietnamese and English. Plus being one-fourth Chinese, she can also speak and understand basic conversational Cantonese.
After graduated from Hershey High School, Mei went on to pursue her college education at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her summa cum laude Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (Programming Track). Mei is currently working as a Java Application Developer for TE Connectivity.
In her spare time, Mei enjoys spending quality time with her family. She likes to do gardening, crocheting and a little bit of cooking. Her interests include reading, writing, learning foreign languages, listening to music and enjoy different types of theatre and musical performing arts. And above all taking time not to do those things in order to breathe.
Mei now resides with her parents in the neighborhood near Hershey, PA.
